About Your Teacher

Dear Students and Parents,

Welcome to our fourth grade class at Fox Trail Elementary. We have a very busy and exciting year in store for us!

Let me first introduce myself. I am Niria Llanos and a native of South Florida. I attended Barry University for my undergraduate studies and earned my B.S in Elementary Education 1-6/ESOL. I then attended University of Miami (GO CANES!) where I earned my M.S. in Reading Education and Exceptional Student Education (ESE). This will be my tenth year at Fox Trail Elementary and I consider myself very fortunate to be among such a professional faculty. I am also the proud mama of two shih-tzus named Sadie and Henry, who I love very much!

I realize that teaching your child is a privilege, as well as a tremendous responsibility. I will do my best this year to ensure that each student has a motivating and safe learning experience in the classroom. However, I cannot do this alone: I need your help. We both need to be partners in the learning process. Please encourage your child at home by ensuring that they have completed their assignments, signing their agendas daily, checking their Thursday folders, and helping them prepare

for test/quizzes.  I know with your help we are going to have great year!

Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. I check my voice mail weekly and I check my email daily. My address is: niria.llanos@browardschools.com.

Sincerely,

Miss Llanos, MS Ed., N.B.C.T
